Colne Valley Regional Park

The Colne Valley Regional Park is the first substantial taste of countryside to the west of London. The Park, founded in 1965, stretches from Rickmansworth in the north to Staines and the Thames in the south, and from Uxbridge and Heathrow in the east, to Slough and Chalfont St Peter in the west.
They approached us with big plans to rebuild their website and for it to become the hub for all of Colne Valley events, Projects and resources. With large amounts of content and photos we worked with the client to formulate a plan of action and how they can manage the website going forward for years to come.
From working through the design process up to providing training we have worked in close communication with the client with multiple members of the team all providing their skills to create something to be proud of.
With activities from Festivals to “Bat walks” we created an Events system which works with an interactive map showing where the events are hosted over the 200 miles of farmland, woodland and water.
They wanted to showcase past and present projects that they have run at the park which includes the “Landscape Camera Archive” which shows photos of over 100 locations in 4 directions pin pointed on a Google map through the years to the latest project: “The Landscape Partnership Scheme”, a programme for the conservation and enjoyment of areas of distinctive character.
All areas of the website are managed by the client using their own back-end system which makes updating and adding in new content a breeze.
